1. Witch Hazel Astringent

However, some protective measures must be in place to fight acne that may result from your training routines. Pay attention to what you put on your body in terms of clothing, sports equipment and gear.

For example, solid Lycra and nylon exercise outfits might look great in movies and on magazine models, but if you are susceptible to acne problems, avoid these synthetic fabrics that tend to trap in body moisture and heat that lead to a bacterial intoxication. Instead, choose loose clothing made of cotton or natural blends for more air to get onto your skin.

And when you’re finished training, take off your clothes that are wet from sweat or water sports. Take a shower and change to dry, clean clothes. And also keep your sports equipment and devices clean. Dirty headgear, for example, can irritate the forehead areas that are prone to acne problems. So throw headbands into the washing machine after training.

2. Cosmetics – To avoid pore blockages and skin irritations that are similar to acne and can contribute to acne, use products that are labelled as non-comedogenic or oil-free. Shimmering facial tones may contain a scaly mineral called mica, which can cause skin irritation and blockage of pores.
